Staff Development High School Bursary Programme

Unlocking Potential through Education!

Our main goal is to empower the families of our staff members with students in Grade 10, 11, and 12, by providing access to the finest education possible, nurturing their full potential.

Starting as a pilot project for higher grades, we are committed to expanding this initiative as resources grow, encompassing all high school students who meet the eligibility criteria. At the heart of our mission is the belief that education holds the key to a bright future, and we spare no effort in supporting this vision.

Our aspiration is to leave no child behind, ensuring that every parent, irrespective of their position within the organization, has the right to access the best education available. By investing in their education today, we are building a stronger and brighter tomorrow for our community.

Tertiary Bursary Programme
At our company, we hold the growth and enrichment of our staff in the highest regard. Our commitment to cultivating skills and nurturing talent resonates through our Tertiary Bursary and Learnership Programme, both designed to foster a powerhouse of expertise within our organization.

We’re proud to have trained 100 new staff members in NQF Level 2 skills programmes. Furthermore, we've welcomed 11 individuals with disabilities, providing them the opportunity to engage in an NQF Level 3 training programme.

Our existing staff members hold immense potential. Recognising this, we’ve selected 34 high-potential individuals and enrolled them in the NQF Level 4 programs. This strategic investment in their development bolsters both their capabilities and the collective strength of our workforce.

We believe in nurturing emerging talent. We’ve welcomed 51 N6 interns from various colleges. These interns are seamlessly integrated into our workplace experience initiative, providing them with the hands-on exposure they need to flourish.

Our commitment to education extends beyond our organization. We’ve proudly extended 13 bursaries to our staff and their children, facilitating their pursuit of post-matric degrees and diplomas, and enriching their personal and professional journeys.

Driving Transformation with BBBEE. The SECC takes pride in reviewing the progress we make in Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE). We are passionate about empowering communities and setting ambitious targets to achieve our B-BBEE goals through comprehensive five-year plans.

Employment Equity Forum

The Employment Equity Forum guides us towards reasonable progress in achieving employment equity. We are committed to eradicating unfair discrimination and ensuring equitable representation of employees from designated groups through affirmative action measures.

Your weekly meetings provide a platform for open dialogue, enabling our staff to actively voice their concerns and recommendations. At these meeting Managers listen attentively, discuss all concerns, and feedback to the EEF Five-year plans that pave the way for a diverse and inclusive future. These plans are carefully reviewed, ensuring they align with our vision of creating an equitable and thriving workplace.
